Accucold offers innovative solutions to vaccine storage with stackable purpose-built refrigerator-freezer combinations design to support meeting CDC/VFC guidelines.
Sized at just 20" wide, the ARS3PV-ADA305AFSTACK combines the 3 cu. ft. ARS3PV auto defrost vaccine refrigerator with ADA305AF 2.47 cu. ft. manual defrost vaccine freezer into one slim footprint using Accucold's StackRack. This ships in three boxes and requires some minor assembly upon delivery.
Refrigerator ARS3PV is part of Accucold's Pharma-Vac Performance Series, designed to meet the demanding needs of vaccine storage. It utilizes a microprocessor temperature controller with an adjustable control range from +2 to +8ºC. The buffered temperature probe is encased in a glycol-filled bottle to better simulate temperature of the stored product, with an additional sensor that reads air temperature to ensure superior temperature control. The current and min/max temperature display is viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit to the nearest tenth of a degree. The audible and visual temperature alarm sounds if the unit's interior goes out of range. Additional alarms include a power failure alert, door open alarm, and sensor failure alarm. This unit is equipped with remote alarm contacts in the rear and a 1/2" probe port on the right side to accept additional monitoring devices.
Inside, the ARS3PV utilizes adjustable cycle defrost operation to avoid temperature spikes. Optimized forced air cooling with an internal fan ensures excellent temperature stability and uniformity with rapid recovery after door openings. The adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves can be positioned at 1/2" increments to accommodate virtually any sized item. This unit includes LED internal lighting with an on/off rocker switch. The interior is constructed from white powder coated metal to ensure added durability and better temperature retention.
The refrigerator is designed to be stacked on top of the ADA305AF, a -25ºC vaccine freezer that utilizes manual defrost operation. The freezer has 3" thick door for efficient insultation, and a flat door liner, as recommended by the CDC, to ensure users don't store sensitive materials on the door. Three removable pull-out drawers on fixed wire shelving offer convenient storage, with plastic fronts that help to protect contents from warmer ambient temperatures when the door is opened. A digital thermostat, located in the kickplate, makes for easy temperature management with a readout in Fahrenheit or Celsius. This unit is also equipped with high/low temperature and open door alarms, as well as an access port to accept additional monitoring equipment.
Both units include front-mounted keyed locks, powerful magnetic gaskets to ensure a positive seal, and hospital grade cords with 'green dot' plugs for added safety in high traffic areas. The refrigerator has a self-closing door and the freezer is ETL-S to NSF-7 standards for use in commercial settings. Additional stacked combinations are available.
