The Accucold® VAC Series refrigerators are specially designed to store sensitive medical and pharmaceutical materials under the proper conditions, with innovative construction for temperature stability and user-friendly features for added convenience.

Sized for use on top of counters, the FF28LWHVAC is a compact all-refrigerator with automatic defrost operation. Fan-forced cooling helps to maintain even temperature distribution throughout the interior, ensuring the refrigerator stays within 2ºC of desired temperature and maximizing the usable storage space inside. The interior includes two drop-down covers that shield stored contents from being exposed to room temperature when the door is open. As recommended by the CDC for vaccine storage, this unit has a flat interior door liner.

The FF28LWHVAC includes a factory installed front lock for added security. The self-closing door is an ideal feature for lab or medical settings, helping to protect valuable samples and vaccines when a busy staff may not always have time to ensure a tight seal. The hospital grade 'green dot' cord offers added safety in high-traffic locations.

For temperature precision, the FF28LWHVAC includes a digital thermostat. A high/low temperature alarm sends an audible alert if the unit is out of set range, while also displaying a NIST calibrated temperature readout to the nearest tenth of a degree. A pre-installed probe hole/access port allows users to install additional monitoring equipment.

In addition to the standard features of the VAC line, the FF28LWHVAC can be further customized to your exact specifications. At this time, Accucold refrigerators have not been evaluated to the new NSF 456 standard. As referenced in the current Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, these units incorporate microprocessor controls and forced air circulation for stable operation between 2 and 8ºC. For additional temperature assurance, the CDC recommends a calibrated digital data logger (DDL), which can be added with the factory-installed option DL2B or addition of the DL2BKit accessory.
