Over-the-top ornamentation characterizes these jeweler-style, museum-quality enameled eggs first made famous by Carl Fabergein the 17th century. The "Ladybug" boasts an intricate filigree of lavender-hued pansies and a namesake "lucky bug" while the "Hummingbird" tips its filigreed lid-twice-to reveal a spot for tiny treasures. Both are cast in metal alloy using the ancient "lost wax" method and before the brilliant enamel, faux jewels and tiny embellishments are added. Each approx. 3½"dia.x4½"H. 1 lb.
