Traditionally double bathroom vanities are only an option for larger bathrooms. At a minimum, most models clock in at a hefty 60″ wide, which is about – you guessed it – twice as wide as your average single vanity, and they can easily span twice that width. But while big double bathroom vanities are great for fleshing out a large bathroom<\/a>, not all bathrooms have room for such a hefty piece of furniture. If you have a smaller master bathroom, but still want the convenience of a two-sink setup, we’ve got some of the very smallest double vanities out there.<\/p>\n

Shop Double Sink Bathroom Vanities under 60″ by Silkroad Exclusive:<\/strong> As I said, 60″ is average for smallish double bathroom vanities, and when you break it down, these vanities are already on the lean side – usually designed like two 24″ vanities each with their own sink and storage cabinet connected by a row of shared, foot-wide drawers. But there are a number of ways to trim down the width, either by a few inches, or by as much as about a foot. 48″ is both the upper limit for a very large single vanity, and the absolute smallest you can go to get a double vanity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is maybe the most straightforward way to nix that extra 12″, but I’d personally be a tad wary of it. Regular readers will know that I’m big on bathroom vanities with drawers<\/a>, and having two large cabinets but no drawers is NOT a good way to streamline a small master bathroom. Instead, look for something like this Maxine vanity, which swaps out the cabinets with three substantial drawers per sink, maximizing personal small-item storage space.<\/p>\n

This, as you might have guessed, is my personal preference. The smaller cabinets are a little more accessible, making it harder to misplace small items, and leaves a little more room for shared drawer storage. In the case of this Citrus vanity, it also means adding a lot of open-shelf storage, which is pretty common among more modern-styled vanities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Different kinds of sinks – like a counter with integrated sinks that are very very close together or a trough style sink\u00a0 – can somewhat minimize the elbow bumping, but if the primary goal is to get two sinks and separate storage for two, even the smallest double vanities provide it. You just need to pay close attention to which storage features will work the best for you and your partner, whether it means two large cabinets, lots of shared drawers, or somewhere in between.<\/p>\n

And of course, you can find designs that fall somewhere in the middle, shaving an inch or two here or there off different parts of the vanity. In the “under 60 inch” category, you can find bathroom vanities<\/a> everywhere from 48 inches all the way up to 59 and practically every half inch in between. When choosing double bathroom vanities somewhere in this middle ground, really be aware of how much wiggle room you have in terms of width. A few inches can make a big difference, both in a small space and in the amount of available storage.<\/p>\n

<\/div><\/div> If you know both sinks will be in use at the same time more often than not, and if you really can’t stand the idea of bumping elbows while you brush your teeth, you might want to consider a slightly different solution: go for two vanities instead of one. Now, with most conventional 24″-36″ vanities this is a swap that maybe won’t make much difference at all, and could even wind up taking up more space. But some companies sell pairs of very very petite wall mounted vanities<\/a> designed to act as double bathroom vanities in two parts. An ultra lean wall mount vanity can clock in at little more than 20″, knocking another 8″ off the total width and allowing you a little more flexible installation if you don’t have room to put them side by side.
