As a subset of this, many of Oggetti’s pieces\u00a0overlay simple line-based patterns onto curved shapes, from translucent three-dimensional plaid stripes to dramatic modern takes on traditional wicker caning. The results are lighting fixtures and accent furniture that look almost computer-generated, like 3D graphs and models made physical. Not all of the furniture by Ogetti is mathematically perfect, though: some of it is designed to be deliberately asymmetrical or amorphic. Instead of uniform, repeating shapes, these feature designs that have similar intersecting planes and surfaces, but ones that are odd-shaped and irregular, meant to be eye-catching by virtue of breaking away from the perfect angles and simple lines that define a modern design. But this, too, makes them great accents in a modern space; while you may not want (or be able) to extrapolate these more unusual shapes to the rest of your decor, they can serve nicely as an interruption to an otherwise very linear design, giving your space a little extra personality.<\/p>\n
