The simplest wall mounted vanities tend to be the most striking. With a sink, some basic counter space, and a towel rack, this is about as minimal as you can get. The simple, straight lines and the unbroken white of the fixture itself – plus some reflective chrome hardware – do double duty, making your bathroom look both bright and clean as well as simple and elegant. To push the modern aspect, consider a glass vanity top or mounting brackets in a more eye-catching finish. Remember, though, that with any drawer-free, flat-surfaced counter top, you’re probably going to have some plumbing showing. <\/p>\n\n\n

Don’t count that as a death knell for the project, though. Even if you hate the idea of exposed piping or not having any cabinet space, don’t worry. Not all <\/em>modern wall mount vanities are inconvenient to use on a daily basis. In fact, many wall mount vanities come with plenty of built-in storage, and are often optimized for a\u00a0small bathroom<\/a>. Think drawer-style storage rather than traditional cabinets, plus cubbies, shelves, tip-out drawers and even storage mirrors. Though they may not look it, many well-designed wall mount bathroom vanities have enough storage to be useful in a primary bathroom, even without installing a lot of additional shelving or a medicine cabinet<\/a>. My personal favorite thing about simple, minimalist modern wall mount vanities is that they’re a little bit modular. That is, it’s easy to mix-and-match across and within brands; many manufacturers offer add-on and interconnecting pieces to help you custom build your vanity setup. Whether that means connecting two vanities with a bridge or just supplementing your vanity with a matching linen cabinet, the simple style makes it easy to get a cohesive look. With a good eye, you can even shop from different brands and still wind up with a solid match. That’s something that’s virtually impossible to do with a more traditional style.<\/p>\n\n\n

If you’re shopping for a very small master bathroom, you’re in luck. You can find double-sink wall mount vanities scaled down to fit even the most cramped spaces. 48 inches is typically on the upper end for a single sink vanity. But with a pared down modern design, you can squeeze two sinks into the same width. It’s a setup that’s admittedly a little on the cozy side. But if you and your partner really<\/em> want separate sinks, this is one of the best ways to get them. Two 24 inch vanities will take up more space once installed, and anything smaller will mean a steep loss in terms of storage space.<\/p>\n\n\n

The main drawback of wall mount bathroom vanities is a problem you’ll run into with any small vanity: the plumbing from the sink takes up a ton of space in the cabinet. The problem is exacerbated by the wall mount design; where a traditional cabinet can make up for lost space by adding more storage below, floating vanities need to optimize the space immediately below the countertop. There are two main ways to do this. The most common is with U-shaped drawers, which have a cutout in the middle to accommodate the plumbing. The second is to raise the level of the sink itself by upgrading to a vessel sink. An above-counter sink immediately opens up a ton of space inside the cabinet. As a bonus, it cuts down on the amount of space you have to dedicate to the plumbing, too.<\/p>\n\n\n
